EVENTS & PHOTOGRAPHY
In addition to my responsibilities in graphic design and maintaining all marketing materials, corporate briefings, website content, social media, and the company newsletter, I also coordinated 4–6 major trade show exhibits annually. This entailed managing booth and attendee logistics, vendor partnerships, asset production, and a full 2025 booth redesign initiative.

After completing the 2025 tradeshow events, the team decided it was time to update our booth look with a complete redesign that was more reflective of the company’s brand identity. This redesign also allowed us to choose a new system that was modular, lightweight, easy to ship/travel with, and allowed for a more streamlined set-up process.
Below are photos of the old booth set-up and the new 2026 design.

Planetary Missions Program Office - Outreach Events
Some of the most valuable experiences I had during my NASA Internship were the opportunities I had to help plan and execute local and national outreach events. Facilitating engaging activities and talking to the public about the missions PMPO supports and their importance to scientific discovery was a great learning experience. It was also incredibly fun to watch kids and adults alike be inspired by and excited about space science.
Local events included: Huntsville Boy Scout Camp activities and presentations, NASA in the Park activities, and a planetarium show, “Cocktails & Cosmos,” in collaboration with The U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
National events include: NASA Symposium in Washington, DC, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Discovery Program, Blerdcon in Washington, DC, where a virtual reality activity was presented to promote planetary science, and participating in the NASA Science Exploration Forum student poster event.
The 17th annual Books for the Black Belt Campaign is a book drive that I was able to take charge of at UACED in 2023. If you are not familiar, Alabama's Black Belt includes some of the poorest counties in the United States. The primary goal of the University’s campaign is to provide one book for each child in the Black Belt counties -- more than 30,000 books! We hope that these books not only instill a love of reading but also a lifelong love of learning in the children of this area.
Planning this event was no easy feat, as it required a lot of communication and messaging for diverse audiences. Some of our audiences included donation partners, school administrators, journalists, and the general public.
Due to the success we had advertising and organizing the event, over 11,000 books were collected and distributed to schools in the Black Belt region.

Capturing your Favorite Moments
While I do not claim to be a professional photographer, I have developed the skills to capture candid and exciting moments at large events that can be used for promotion. I have also developed higher-quality editing skills, such as lighting and replacing backgrounds to improve photo quality. Check out the gallery below to see some of my favorite photos from my time at System Studies & Simulation, the UA Career Center, and The Blackburn Institute.
