CAREER CENTER SOCIAL MEDIA

The University of Alabama Career Center’s goal is to partner with students as they explore possibilities, develop skills, and connect with opportunities related to their professional endeavors.

With social media, we wanted to increase awareness and engagement with the Career Center’s events and resources. Our primary audiences were students, faculty/staff, alumni, and employers.

Goal:

To increase event engagement and awareness, several strategies were
in action:

  1. Post about the largest events on our feeds (IG, LinkedIn, and FB).

  2. Utilize stories to bring attention to smaller events.

  1. Instagram Followers - Gained 1,486 followers (302% increase). Meeting our awareness goal.

  2. Instagram Post Reach - 405,518 unique accounts that saw our content at least once (437% increase). Meeting our awareness goal.

PLANETARY MISSIONS PROGRAM OFFICE SOCIAL MEDIA

Facebook Posts

As the Communications and Outreach Intern for the Planetary Missions Program Office (PMPO), I was given the responsibility of creating content for the office’s official Facebook page. Most of the content was geared toward promoting information about the various current and future planetary science missions and their scientific discoveries. These posts required me to conduct extensive research on space and science topics that are often difficult to write about in a shortened social media format. Writing about these topics in an accessible way is a skill I was able to develop during my time at PMPO.

Below, you will find links to several Facebook posts that I independently created for the page.
Unfortunately, the Planetary Missions Program Office Facebook page was taken down by NASA in 2025, but I was able to export the posts into Word files for you to view.
